US President Bill Clinton was honored at the Democracy Gala with the Noble Prize as “The Peacemaker of the Century” for ending wars in Bosnia, Kosovo, Yugoslavia, Northern Ireland, Israel/Palestine and East Timor.
The Guardians of Democracy Award was presented to Vladimir Kara-Murza and Maria Ressa, The Noble Genius Prize to Prof. David Sinclair, The Noble Prize for Humanity and Global Impact to Richard Branson / Sam Branson.

The World Council on AI - Algorithms, Social Media, and Digital Life

Co-Godfather of AI Yoshua Bengio, Nobel Peace Laureate Maria Ressa, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia (representing Pope Francis and the Vatican on AI), Matthew Hodgson, CEO of Element, open the AI World Summit

At The World Forum and AI World Summit, Co-Godfather of AI Yoshua Bengio and Nobel Peace Laureate Maria Ressa, who has created her own social media platforms, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia (representing Pope Francis and the Vatican on AI), Matthew Hodgson, CEO of Element, a company which provides the technology to create social media platforms and program algorithms and 36 further AI and social media experts and owners / representatives of world's leading media discussed concept notes and ideas for the creation of The World Council on AI – Algorithms, Social Media, and Digital Life. Participants at the AI World Summit discussed Global AI Laws and Governing bodies as a groundbreaking effort to establish ethical frameworks and governance for AI, including "The 10 AI Commandments" on how to use AI for the good of humanity without endangering the human race.

The second phase of this endeavor is envisioned to take place at the Vatican to present the “AI - The 10 Commandments”, to be hosted by Pope Francis with the likes Prof. Yuval Noah Harari and Godfathers of AI, in the iconic Sistine Chapel beneath Michelangelo's God’s Creation of Adam. This historic setting underscores the moral and ethical dimensions of the development of AI.

The Third phase, marking the launch and initial steps toward implementation, shall convene in either Washington D.C. or Silicon Valley, bringing together major industry players, policymakers, and global leaders to align technological advancement with human values.

In conjunction with The World Forum,  a curated program of associated events took place:

1. The Democracy Gala, March 18, celeberated Guardians of Democracy and included the Noble Prize for “The Peacemaker of the Century” US President Bill Clinton for stopping wars in Bosnia, Kosovo, all of former Yugoslavian Territories, Northern Ireland, and Timor-Leste.

 2. The Social Media Tribunal, March 17 - 21, by The Court of the Citizen of the World. In a landmark trial, The Social Media Tribunal has concluded that social media platforms knowingly and intentionally permit their platforms to be used for hate speech, misinformation, abetting teenage suicide, and, in the case of the Rohingya population in Myanmar, inciting genocide. The Tribunal found that platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and TikTok, as well as governments responsible for regulating social media, have failed to act responsibly, leading to catastrophic consequences.  

3. Special Screening “The Click Trap”, March 16, on The Pioneer ship. "The Click Trap" exposes the alarming truths behind the digital advertising economy, worth hundreds of billions of dollars, showing the far-reaching impact it's having on our lives, both "on" and "offline".
 4. Film Premiere of “The Cranes Call”, March 17, at the French Embassy - with director Laura Warner, investigator Anya Neistat, and executive producers Secretary Hillary Clinton and Jaka Bizilj about the War Crimes investigation of the Clooney Foundation in Ukraine - with the panel discussion after the screening.
